6-Week Summer Visiting Professor in China (Competitive Salary, Flights and Accommodation)
SIE International Summer School invites applications for a 6-week Visiting Professor position at Sun Yat-Sen University, Guangzhou, China from July 2nd to August 10th, 2012. Candidates from all areas of Philosophy are welcome to apply. The Visiting Professors will usually teach 2-3 courses (Introduction to Philosophy and Modern Philosophy).
Compensation Package:
•Salary of $6,000USD per course taught (after-tax), we typically ask each Visiting Professor to teach between two to three courses;
•Free hotel accommodation during the term of teaching;
•Free round-trip economy class air-ticket for you and a family member between the U.S. and China;
•RMB3,000 in food expense reimbursement for you and family while in China;
•RMB1,000 for laundry expense reimbursement for you and family;
•Airport pickup and drop-off services;
•RMB1,000 for transportation expenses incurred within China;
•Accident insurance coverage;
•One teaching assistant;
•One welfare assistant to help with your daily living needs in China.

Founded in 2009, Sinoway International Education Group (“SIE”) is a joint-effort by four prestigious Chinese universities to offer international standard summer school programs. . Welcome orientation for faculty:June 28
The first faculty meeting day: June 29
The first day of school: July 2
The last school day (Final exam day): August 10
The program will last six weeks, each class meets four time a week (Mon. to Thur.), except the third and the sixth weeks meet from Mon. to Fri. The total class hours are 39 hours (26 class sessions) for each course. Each class time is 90minutes in length.
