Medicine Hat College’s School of Arts, Science, and Education invites applications for a Full-Time, Term-Certain Instructor in our Humanities & Social Sciences Department for the Fall 2022, Winter 2023 and Spring 2023 semesters. This is a full-time position that extends from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023 in Philosophy for the 2022/2023 academic year.

The successful candidate will instruct courses in philosophy that contribute to the Humanities and Social Sciences Diploma Program; relate to university studies and transfer programs; function as required or elective courses for other programs at the college; and double as Mount Royal University courses for those in degree partnership programs.

Qualifications:
• Completed graduate studies in Philosophy required, PhD preferred
• Post-Secondary teaching experience is an asset
• Experience in teaching and/or a research background in bioethics, ethics, critical thinking, and/or introductory philosophy courses is an asset
• Research and publication history in philosophy is an asset
• Experience in on-line and face to face formats may be an asset
