Receipt of the fellowship is connected with admission to the Graduate School of An-cient Philosophy, a doctoral program based on a structure curriculum, which is affiliated with the Berlin Graduate School of Ancient Studies (BerGSAS) of the Berliner Antike-Kolleg.
Applicants should have an exemplary university track record. The most important qualification is an excellent background in logic; knowledge of Greek is also desirable, but not absolutely necessary. The doctoral fellowship will include a stipend of 1350 euros per month to be award-ed for two years, with an option to extend for a third year upon posi-tive evaluation. A child allowance will be made available in accordance with DFG guidelines.
In the research group, whose subject area deals with philosophical theories of spatial objects, the recipient should pursue an original research project on formal theories of spatial objects, with special attention to ancient philosophy. The project advisor will be Prof. Dr. Karl-Georg Niebergall (Institut für Philosophie, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin).

Receipt of the fellowship is connected with admission to the Graduate School of Ancient Philosophy, a doctoral program based on a structure curriculum, which is affiliated with the Berlin Graduate School of Ancient Studies (BerGSAS) of the Berliner Antike-Kolleg.
Applicants should have an exemplary university track record in the field of philosophy, classics, or history of ancient science. The doctoral fellowship will include a stipend of 1350 euros per month to be awarded for two years, with an option to extend for a third year upon positive evaluation. A child allowance will be made available in accordance with DFG guidelines.
In the research group, whose subject area deals with immaterial causes and their relation to physical things, the recipient should pursue an original research project on Aristotle's Platonism and his critique of Plato on spatially extended and immaterial things, especially in the Metaphysics. The recipient will also participate in discussions with other members of Topoi research groups D-3 and D-4 on other stages of the history of Platonism. The project advisor will be Prof. Dr. Dr. Stephen Menn (Department of Philosophy, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin).

Requirements
The selected candidate is expected to exercise and guide research in Philosophy of Management, to provide university level education, to follow and contribute to the advances in the field internationally, to participate in service to the Aalto University community, and to take part in societal interaction.
The applicants should hold a doctorate in philosophy or a related field, and they are expected to have high quality publications in at least one of the following areas:
1. Business ethics (broadly construed).
2. Philosophy of the social sciences (broadly construed).
3. Theory and practice of argumentation.
The applicants are expected to demonstrate relevant teaching merits of high international level. An interest in new and innovative methods of teaching is appreciated. We invite applications in particular from strong candidates with experience in co-operation with researches or teachers in business studies, economics, or other fields of the social sciences.

The PhD position is part of the larger LogiCIC project on "The Logical Structure of Correlated Information Change". The overall project aims to develop a uniform logical system that centres around correlated information change and can be used to explain and model various interactive scenarios.
